A new vacancy has arisen with a Belfast based sub-contractor that is involved on some of the most high profile projects within Northern Ireland.

Wishing appoint a Technical Manager into this business, this is a new appointment for this expanding organisation.

Duties:

• Giving technical support to a team of design engineers, the Sales and Estimating team, Procurement Department and the Production team.
• Liaising with the Engineers.
• Liaising with and providing advice and assistance to Architects and Main Contractors.
• Overseeing and preparation of technical submissions & attending to all correspondence of a technical nature.
• Keeping the company updated with design methods and applicable standards.
• Sharing technical knowledge with other members of staff.
• Working within ISO 9001; 14001 and other relevant standards.

Essential Criteria:

• 3 years' experience in a Design Management role, ideally with a specialist contractor
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office packages.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Qualifications; BEng in Construction, Architecture, or Civil Engineering. HND in a design related discipline.
