JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job Title:  Technical Manager

Reporting To:  Managing Director

Job Purpose:              To technically design and manage projects ensuring that the maximum revenue is generated through quality controlled and cost effective and timely solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Technical Control

2.      Risk Management

3.      Cost Control

4.      Compliance

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified in appropriate subject or equivalent
  • Chartered Engineer and member of either the ICE or IStructE

Experience:

  • At least three years’ experience at a similar level within the construction industry including delivering a range of projects from concept through to completion
  • Experience in the design and specification of building structures in steel, concrete, masonry and timber to British Standards
  • Ability to implement the use of design software on projects.
  • Familiar with UK Building Regulations and design standards for discipline

 

 Qualities:

·         Analytical with the ability to identify relevant areas of risk

·         Problem solving

·         Computer literate – comfortable working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook

 

·         Accuracy and attention to detail
