An established, Main Contractor with a strong reputation within the construction industry who specialise in delivering Residential, Education and Healthcare, Commercial and Heritage projects across Northern Ireland with contract values up to £20M.

Due to their growing success and innovative business they are currently seeking an ambitious experienced Sub-Contract Buyer to come aboard the team. The role itself will be based out of their office in Co. Down.

Sub-Contract Buyer Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Commercial Director
• Accountable for subcontract placements and procurement
• Liaise with the contracts management and surveying departments.
• Analyse specifications and price comparisons
• Involved in different forms on tender enquiries
• Process subcontract demand sheets.

Personal Specification

• Experience in subcontract buying
• Experience of working within a team and has a knowledge within the contracting industry
• Good commercial knowledge and has the capability to take control of situations and a good understanding of excel spreadsheets
