Job Title: Site Engineer

Permanent: Full Time

The CSR Group is currently seeking to recruit a Site Engineer for a groundworks contractor based in South Down. They currently have a number of large projects in the North and South of Ireland and are looking to add to their team.

Salary £30 – 40k plus van & fuel

Essential Criteria:

Suitable candidates will have third level qualification in a relevant construction related course i.e Civil Engineering

Ideally 2+ years' experience in civil/construction/build background

Proficient use of surveying equipment including GPS units. Comfortable in reading GA and RC drawings, with an appreciation of upcoming works to ensure engineering control is always provided in advance, and that works can be adequately planned

Numeracy and IT skills including MS Office, Word and Excel.

Full driving licence

Main Responsibilities:

Reading, interpreting and providing clear communication of construction drawings on site for layouts, material measurements etc.

Ensuring that the setting out is accurate, providing precise lines, levels and reference points on site.

Effectively influencing the progress on sites and ensuring programme deadlines are met.

Developing effective relationships and dealing with clients, Contractors and subcontractors. 

Resolving technical problems at all levels

Working closely with all other team members to ensure that the Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety aspects of the work are adhered to during your project phase on site. (site inductions, staff briefings, tool box talks, site inspections).

Continually developing your knowledge in the industry, communicating and implementing best practice guidance to line managers and relevant staff. 

Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements, policies and procedures.

Ensuring all documents and drawings are up to date

Ensuring activities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with H&S procedures.
