CSR is currently recruiting for Senior Estimator to join a leading Building, Fitout & Refurbishment Contractor in Co. Down. 

Wishing to appoint a Senior Estimator for the Commercial division you will support the Pre-Construction Tendering department. The main purpose of the role is to work within a highly motivated team, delivering Design & Build and refurbishments projects and traditional bids. You will be expected to work on their own initiative but must be able to proactively interact with other members of the team to produce detailed competitive tender submissions.

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the preparation of the tender with assistance from other members of the pre-construction team.

• Manage the production of the tender costs in consultation with the project planner, design manager and bid manager allocated to the project.

• Obtain suitable market quotations to substantiate the prime cost

• Deliver accurate prime cost submissions at the adjudication meeting in a professional and logical manner

• Advise line Manager of improvements / innovation within the company or externally that you become aware of

• Estimates result in contracts that meet or exceed business expectations.

•  Handover of successful tender information such that the site teams are suitably briefed.

Essential Criteria:

•  Appropriate academic and construction qualifications.

•  Detailed knowledge of construction in both new and refurbishment work

•  A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role with the main contracting experience.

•  The candidate must be able to confidently communicate with all members of the pre-construction team, directors, clients and consultants.

•  Candidate must be able to work to strict deadlines.
