SHEQ Advisor

Our client is a leading Building and Civil Engineering main contractor with over 40 years’ experience.

They currently require a HSEQ Advisor to join them on a project in Kegworth, Leicestershire.

As a HSEQ Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of delivery of the Company’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management Systems. This will include, but not limited to, undertaking audits and inspections, developing operating procedures, preparing reports and statistics, delivering presentations as well as providing advice and guidance to employees and sub-contractors.

Packages will be Negotiable DOE

Key Responsibilities

Development of the pre start SHEQ plans and site files.
Preparation of site paperwork including Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Inductions and Toolbox Talks
Carrying out site inspections and audits
Assisting with administration of Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001 & ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001)
Assisting with Incident reporting, investigation and trend analysis
Attending all relevant training & meetings as required
Flag training requirements identified through trends to the HR team.
Assisting with upkeep of various Health & Safety Accreditations
Sub-Contractor monitoring

Personal Profile
NEBOSH Certificate in Construction or equivalent qualification.

At least 3 years post graduate experience preferably in a health and safety/ environmental/quality related role.

Building background

Experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001.

Experience working within the residential &/or water industries will be preferable

Experience in delivering presentations/training sessions.

Experience of health and safety, environmental, energy and quality management systems.

Current Driving License

Degree in a Construction / Engineering / Architectural / Technical disciplines or 4 years relevant construction experience.


Be able to demonstrate a drive and passion of continual improvement of all our systems.


Ideally have previous experience working for a main contractor in both civil and building and having experience / knowledge of a wide variety of construction techniques.


NEBOSH environmental qualification preferably
