Quantity Surveyor - Tyrone

An award winning Building Contractor based in County Tyrone has a new opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team.

Sectors that the company operate in include Housing, Commercial, Education and Community & Leisure.

Projects are all based within Northern Ireland, you will join an organisation that is committed to its employees including training, upskilling and career development.

Working as a Quantity Surveyor within the company will carry out the following

 

  • Management of commercial and contractual arrangements associated with project works.
  • Producing financial reports that monitor monthly progress and predict the likely final outcome.
  • Preparation and submission of valuations for works completed in line with contractual arrangements.
  • Management and maximisation of cashflow to meet company standards and budgets.
  • Producing, with close liaison of the contracts manager, fully detailed subcontract enquiry documentation to accurately reflect the works packages required
  • Management of the procurement process and payment of subcontractors in accordance with company procedures
  • Measurement, pricing, negotiation and agreement of costs for varied work, maximising value with a controlled and reasoned approach
  • Monitoring and controlling cost against project budgets taking immediate and appropriate action as required
  • Adept at identifying and managing potential risk and opportunity in close collaboration with the delivery team.
  • Resolving commercial and contractual disputes to minimise detrimental conflict.
  • Actively promoting a close working team environment to ensure commercial and construction activities are fully integrated.

You will have:

  • A proven track record of delivering £2m+ projects on time, within budget and to the required standard.
  • Driven by a right first-time attitude and the will to succeed.
  • Meticulous with a pragmatic approach, committed to achieving optimum delivery costs to directly increase profitability.
  • Contractually aware yet non-adversarial, focused on ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled to minimise potential risk.
  • Minimum 2-3 years'experience Quantity Surveying experience
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Related Discipline.
