Project Quantity Surveyor – North Dublin

A growing Medium sized main Contractor is currently recruiting for an Experienced Quantity Surveyor to work initially on an apartment building in North Dublin which is due to run for a further 18 months.

With multiple recent project wins in the Residential, hotel and commercial sectors, the company has a strong pipeline of work and so is looking to add to its close-knit commercial team.

Reporting to the Commercial manager you will work on projects through to final account.

Duties:

·         Preparation of internal costs / value reports on a monthly basis.

·         Preparation and management of subcontractors, suppliers and material procurement schedules

·         Responsibility for agreeing monthly valuations with client

·         Budget control / materials management / valuations

·         Preparation of cost reports and projections

·         Ability to negotiate with subcontractors, suppliers with a view to agree final accounts

·         Preparing monthly cost analysis reports for monthly management meetings

The Person

• Degree educated in QS or related subject
• 5+ years’ experience
• Previous experience working for a main contractor or Developer
• Strong communicator with good commercial acumen
