Project Manager – Hospital Refurbishment & New Build

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to oversee the refurbishment and partial new build of a hospital project in County Longford. This is a high-impact role, essential for ensuring the successful delivery of a large-scale healthcare construction project within time, budget, and quality constraints.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex construction projects, preferably within healthcare or similar highly regulated environments. You will lead the project through to completion, ensuring all aspects are delivered to the highest standard, while coordinating a diverse range of contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and oversee the refurbishment of existing facilities and the construction of new sections of the hospital. Ensure project milestones, timelines, and budgets are adhered to.
- Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate the work of architects, engineers, contractors, and other relevant parties. Build a collaborative and results-focused team environment.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with healthcare regulations, health & safety standards, and building codes. Maintain the highest standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to the project’s schedule, budget, and quality. Implement robust contingency plans.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Develop and manage the project schedule, ensuring timely delivery of each phase, with minimal disruption to the hospital’s ongoing operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in project management within the construction sector, ideally with experience in healthcare or public infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Irish building regulations, health and safety standards, and planning procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and a fast-paced work environment.
