Metal Deck CAD Technician

Location:             County Antrim OR County Fermanagh

Salary:                  £22k - £32k (Experience dependant)

Level:                    Considering various levels from Trainee to Experience

Experience:        CAD (2D), Preferably 3D experience for floor drawings (Or willingness to learn)

Essential Requirements/Duties

·         Experience with CAD (Tekla preferable, or willingness to learn it)

·         Highly detail orientated with good verbal communication skills

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office

·         Proficient in Interpreting Info from engineer and architect construction drawings

·         Ability to prepare 2D/3D model of steel structure from the information given to you

·         Apply/detail connections to the model

·         Prepare materials lists for procurement

·         Dimension and quantity metal decking

·         Liaising with production and construction teams

·         Highly organised

Beneficial but not essential

·         Have an understanding of cold rolled section and accessories (training provided)

·         Have good knowledge of architectural details and systems

·         Willingness to learn and become knowledgeable with standard structural steel section zones

·         Experience of welding techniques and standards
