An excellent opportunity exists for a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor with 5 years' experience to join a specialist M&E contractor. They design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Ireland.

In this position you will play a key role in M&E disciplines of construction projects. Managing the costs from the early design plans, though to the Practical Completion and beyond working on projects such as schools, hospitals and offices.

Duties will include:

• Preparing material and subcontractor procurement, valuation of works and financial reporting
• Assisting in the preparation of pre-measured budget costs and measurement for final accounts 
• Liaising, negotiating, and relationship building with clients and consultants on an on-going basis
• Working alongside the contract managers in planning, scheduling, and carrying out work including managing all resources

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Keen desire to focus on Mechanical and understand the M&E process
• Ability to prioritise workload within a fast-paced environment
• Strong contractual knowledge of both JCT and NEC
• Ability to manage multiple contracts
• Be commercially and contractually aware
• Strong communication and IT skills
