M&E Sub Contractor is keen to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to assist with the pricing of Mechanical construction projects.  As an Estimator, you will be responsible for the pricing of tenders via Bills of Quantities, Specifications and Drawings. Our client is able to undertake all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical engineering in the Building Services Industry from the initial enquiry, through design, installation, testing, commissioning to completion of the project. 

Key responsibilities and duties:

• Work closely with the Senior Estimator to ensure that the estimating department provides an exceptional level of service
• Ensure tenders are managed in accordance with client requirements, company procedure, timescales and required profit margins
• Lead the bid on larger tenders
• Review designs and specifications
• Attend site surveys, bid and post bid meetings
• Work collaboratively with the commercial, technical, sales and engineering teams to deliver results

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience
• Ability to perform tasks as outlined above
• Excellent communications skills
• Mechanical Design, Estimating or Contracting Experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding of design & ability to interpret drawings
