Mechanical Contracts Manager

A well-established Building Services contractor wish to recruit an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their team. Initially, the role will focus on the efficient setup and management of a two projects within mainland UK (an education & healthcare scheme).

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the set-up of the project team and oversee the initial stages of the project until the further project starts later in the year.

As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing and motivating project teams, inception to project handover delivery, client liaison and meetings, progress reporting, cost tracking, ensuring strict HSE standards, quality assurance and helping to effectively communicate designs to the project team.

Established for almost 30 years, they are an expanding Building Services contractor with a strong presence in Ireland (North & South) and across the UK. Having had another successful year, they are enjoying a number of new project wins, with projects across a variety of sectors. With plans in place to continue expanding, there will be senior management opportunities to progress your career as part of a friendly and focused team.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Mechanical PM/ Contracts Management role.
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ, HNC, HND or Degree advantageous, but not essential)
  • Relevant site qualifications would ideally be including SMSTS, CSCS black card and First Aid at Work
  • Natural leadership and communication skills
  • A track record of leading teams of trades on a range on mechanical installations - plumbing and ventilation knowledge essential

 

Remuneration

The successful candidate can expect to receive a generous annual salary, car/ car allowance, a contributory pension and training & development opportunities.  With large scale commercial projects becoming a key focus, there will be some excellent opportunities to prove yourself and earn promotion in the near future.
