Managing Quantity Surveyor

Our client has a very exciting opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to be part of their already successful team. They are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, tenacious, team player and someone who strives for success.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor who is looking to join a company which rewards performance and offers management potential for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of major projects within the agreed framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations and producing suitable reports at the appropriate stages.
  • You will hold the responsibility for growing and developing junior staff within the department
  • You will maintain a strong focus on time, cost and quality.
  • Manage design teams and monitor and report on contractor progress
  • Develop project documentation, programmes & master budget
  • Hold a client facing role
  • Budget estimating, preparation of tender documents, cost reporting and the agreement of final accounts

The Candidate:

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, including direct contact with clients
  • Degree Qualified in a relevant construction related discipline
  • 7-10 years' experience working with a main contractor/ and or consultancy
  • Ability to work to programmes and meet deadlines
  • A good understanding of the construction process from an operations perspective
  • Experience in managing a developing a team is desirable
  • A motivated self-starter that works well either on their own initiative or as part of a team
