The CSR Group has been retained by a leading Contractor in Ireland who has been at the forefront in the construction industry for over 30 years.

This company is looking for a H&S professional to take on this exciting new role. The sites you will mainly be working on are residential work leading into other sectors as they arise.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to take their place within a long established company and implement a top-down approach to the H&S of the site.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years experience as a H&S professional within Construction preferably Residential.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Manage emergency procedures, respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues; Keep a focus on health and safety within the business.
• Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer’s industry.
• Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
• Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees.
• Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements.
• Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers
• Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers
• Conducting regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to
• Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation.
• Ensure safe working procedures are implemented.
• Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded, investigated and appropriate actions are taken to ensure that they do not happen again.

Skills and qualifications:

• 1+ years in similar role
• Previous construction experience
• Must work well as a team and be able to collaborate with others.
• IT Skills
