Job role: Junior Health & Safety Advisor – Monaghan

The CSR Group has been retained by a leading Civils Contractor who are looking for an eager and ambitious Junior H&S advisor to join their team.

You will be working across multiple sites in the Monaghan and surrounding areas travelling in between sites and keeping the H&S of the sites up to standard.

The successful candidate will have prior Construction experience and have a recognised H&S Qualification.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer’s industry
• Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
• Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees
• Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements
• Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers
• Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers
• Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to
• Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation

Skills and qualifications:

• Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred)
• Full clean drivers licence
• 1-2 years in similar role (preferred)
• Previous construction experience
