Job Role: Junior Health & Safety Advisor – Kilkenny

Our client who is long established within the construction industry is looking for a junior H&S Advisor to join their team.

This role is based in Kilkenny on multiple sites the work consists of mainly Residential projects and some Commercial.

As a Junior Safety Advisor, you will be tasked with managing and maintaining the company’s safety by working with the safety team, employees and managers. This company sees health and safety as a main priority within the work that they endeavour into.

The successful candidate will have a H&S Qualification experience preferred but not essential and ability to travel.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Conducting regular, formal site audits and carrying out inspections as directed by the safety management
• Offer guidance, instruction, and advise on all health and safety matters to management, safety representatives, and employees, including sub-contractors as necessary
• Aid in the company’s vision on maintaining a healthy, incident and injury free workplace.
• Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded, investigated and appropriate actions are taken to ensure that they do not happen again
• Enforce the implementation of company’s policies and procedures for health safety and environmental issues
• Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments. Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Manage & maintain employee training records in conjunction with the training department.
• Ensure equipment is installed safely, manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances.

 Qualifications:

• Recognised Health & Safety Qualification
• Full Drivers licence
• Experience preferred not required
