Job role: Health and Safety Manager

Our client is a long established and highly regarded construction company having delivered many high-end projects across Ireland and the UK.

Due to extensive growth over the last 5 years, they are currently reviewing operations and are looking to recruit a permanent H&S Manager to their growing business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated H&S professional to take a leading position within a growing organisation and implement a top-down approach to ensure they operate in as safe an environment as possible.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

·         Provide regular safety training, including creating and implementing organisational safety guidelines.

·         Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded, investigated and appropriate actions are taken to ensure that they do not happen again

·         Enforcing safety regulations into the work environment

·         Work closely with construction managers, workers and external health and safety bodies to maintain a safe working environment.

·         Conducting regular safety audits

·         Offer guidance, instruction, and advise on all health and safety matters to management, safety representatives, and employees, including sub-contractors as necessary

·         Ensure equipment is installed safely, manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances.

·         Manage and delegate work to the safety team

·         Keep a focus on health and safety withing the business, include health and safety in business discussions

·         Develop a positive health and safety culture

·         Ensure safe working procedures are implemented
