Health & Safety Advisor – North Dublin

The CSR Group has been retained by a leading Residential contractor who are seeking to employ a Senior H&S Advisor.

This company who has numerous large scale residential projects ongoing is seeking an experienced H&S professional to join their team and be based in North Dublin.

They class Health & Safety as being a main priority within their working environment and are seeking a Qualified Safety Advisor to implement a top-down approach to the safety on site.

The successful candidate will have prior H&S experience in Construction with a strong understanding of H&S regulations in Ireland.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer’s industry
• Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
• Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees
• Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements
• Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers
• Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers
• Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to
• Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation

Qualifications:

• Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred)
• 3+ years in similar role
• Previous construction experience
• Residential experience (preferred)
