Job Title: Graduate Electrical Design Engineer
Employment Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time (39 Hours per week)
Reports to: Design Manager
Location: Head office, Toome/Maghera

Our client is a well-known, established Electrical Services Contractor Specialising in Commercial and Retail projects throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe. They have established a reputation for offering high quality, cost effective solutions to a broad range of loyal and ever expanding clients.
About the role:
Our client have exciting opportunities to join our in-house design team based in our many regional offices. They are looking for talented, enthusiastic & motivated individual to work within their in-house Design team as graduate Electrical Design Engineer. The role will be challenging and will offer you a chance to develop their own career within an award-winning company in the commercial construction sector.
Your Duties will include:
· Production of detailed electrical design drawings and calculations.
· Design & Site co-ordination including liaison with different trades.
· Providing technical support to our contracts teams.
· Site surveys and reports.
· Site meeting attendances

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Criteria
· Degree in Electrical/Electronic or building services engineering, HND Electrical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
· Have knowledge the use of Autodesk software to include Autocad
· Experience in Microsoft Office packages, Including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
· Awareness of BS 7671 & BS EN PAS 1192
· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
· Work closely with the contracts team to ensure successful project delivery.
· Understand the importance of Health & Safety procedures and CDM responsibilities.
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to co-ordinate activities in a fast paced environment
· The successful candidate may be required to travel as part of their role to undertake surveys and attend site meetings.
· Full Driving Licence.
· Valid passport.
Desirable Criteria
· Experience working in the construction industry
· City and guilds 18th Edition.
· Familiar with software packages such as Amtech, Dialux & Simaris
· Be proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit 2018/19
· BIM implementation experience.
· Revit family creation.
· Working within a common data environment and use of work sets.
