On behalf of our client based in the Londonderry/ Derry / Donegal area CSR  are seeking to appoint an experienced General Manager within their manufacturing division. 

The GM  will be responsible for the day to today operations and running of the business, ensuring customer orders are completed on time in line with Health & Safety requirements. You will be responsible for motivation, coaching and supporting your team. 

The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of LEAN manufacturing process and have demonstrateable change management experience. 

Role & Responsibilities:

Maximise the profitability of the organisation while ensuring the highest standards or quality and service are met.

Set departmental budgets in conjunction with Senior Management

Provide leadership and direction to all staff using modern techniques 

Understand the quality standards expected to meet customer requirements and ensure your team meet these within allocated time constraints

Monitor production and quality standards

Adopt Lean processes and continuous improvement across the department. 

Develop and lead projects to drive cost reduction and improve efficiency. 

Essential Criteria:

Experience of Profit and loss and resource management

Ten years manufacturing experience at senior level

Strong IT Skills, ERP, BOM, Routings, Production Planning and work flow experience

Experience of dealing with health and safety and creating a safe working environment 

Experience of joinery or furniture manufacturing would be advantageous
