CSR are working with an established civil engineering sub-contractor to recruit Freelance Site Engineer/ Setting Out Engineer for a £1.5million project due to commence in January.

The Engineer will preferably carry or rent their own equipment (robotic or two-man instrument), laptop and surveying software. The successful Engineer will be working for 6-8 weeks at the beginning of the project for inital setting out duties and will then be anticipated to return in month 4 to complete the project.

Duties

• Check drawings and quantities
• Setting out of complete groundworks package
• As builts, QA
• Fully interact with other members of the construction site team.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Civil Engineering background, qualified to a HNC, HNC, or degree level
• Experience within both civils and M&E delivery is essential
• Experience within the power, water or energy sector is beneficial
• First Aid (preferred)

The salary/rate payable will be negotiable depending on level of experience.
