Intermediate Estimator | Construction & Fit-out

A Construction & Fitout contractor based in Co. Armagh has a new requirement for an Estimator to join the team.

You will have the opportunity to tender for a range of Construction and High profiled fit-out contracts including, Luxury 5-star hotels, Bespoke Residential, Educational, Health, Social & Commercial projects ranging from £1M-£20M in value.

Day to day role will include:

Assessing and analysing tender drawings & documentation, carrying out take-offs and producing Bills of Quantities, sending out subcontractor enquiries, comparing and reviewing quotations, building up unit rates, calculating preliminaries, prioritisation of tenders to ensure all are submitted accurately and on time, maximising profit and customer satisfaction as well as attending client meetings and site's when required.

What you need to succeed:

• Third level education in a construction related course or other relevant qualification is desirable.
• Experience of on-site work processes and construction methods.
• The ideal candidate will have minimum of 3 years' experience & a proven track record within a similar fit-out or construction role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, client teams and subcontractors.
• Experience of confidently pricing tenders to the minimum value of £1 Million.
• A good understanding of market rates and profit margins.
