A Belfast based Specialist Contractor wishes to appoint an Estimator to the existing team. This role will be based in our Belfast office.

The Estimator Role will include but not be limited to the following:

• Assessment of incoming tender enquiries to determine prioritisation of all tenders.
• Liaise with Senior Management to determine suitability of tenders based on work stream, programme, location etc.
• Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare comprehensive written build up cost estimates.
• Use of digital measuring software to take off quantities for fixed price tenders.
• Prepare handover documents and host handover meetings with Operations Teams on award of contract.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and seek out and build relationships with new clients
• Keep detailed records of all enquiry documents and analyse trends from same
• Work with the client on value engineering options

Essential Criteria:

• Third level qualification in a related discipline and/or previous experience working in a similar role within the Construction Industry.

Also:

• Strong negotiating skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under their own initiative within a team
• Microsoft packages incl. Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Valid clean UK driving license.

Desirable criteria:

• Experience of working as a specialist sub-contractor QS/ Estimator
• Knowledge of the flooring and painting industry will also be an advantage.
