Job Title: Electrical Building Services Engineer

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Building Services Engineer to join our team in Belfast. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing electrical building services systems for a range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical building services systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, security, and data/communications
• Prepare technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and other design software
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to gather information and assess the feasibility of proposed designs
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical, civil, and structural engineers, to ensure that designs are integrated and coordinated
• Manage projects from start to finish, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling
• Ensure that designs are compliant with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards, including BS 7671 and CIBSE Guides
• Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards related to electrical systems
• Provide technical advice and support to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Keep up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes, and apply this knowledge to improve designs and services

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
• Chartered membership of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or other relevant professional body
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical building services engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to clients
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards
• Experience in using AutoCAD and other design software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficient in the use of project management software and technology
