CSR is working with a prestigious construction firm with a proven track record in delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects. As part of our growth strategy, we are managing two significant developments in Dublin: a state-of-the-art residential complex and a high-end hotel. We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of both projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
Role Overview:
The Contracts Manager will play a pivotal role in the success of these two landmark projects, coordinating and managing all contractual, operational, and team-related aspects. Reporting directly to the Senior Management Team, you will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and site teams to achieve project goals while maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and manage all project contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Project Oversight: Oversee all stages of the residential and hotel construction projects, from planning to handover.
- Team Coordination: Lead and support project managers, site managers, and multidisciplinary teams across both sites to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Budget Control: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial risks are mitigated.
- Programme Management: Develop, track, and adjust project timelines, ensuring milestones are met and delays are minimized.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction activities meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with Irish building regulations.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring adherence to all relevant health and safety standards and procedures.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and implement proactive solutions to mitigate them.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project performance, financial status, and key challenges.
Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in construction project or contracts management, with a proven track record on large-scale residential and/or hotel developments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS, CIOB, or equivalent) are advantageous.
- Contract Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., RIAI, FIDIC, or similar) and dispute resolution.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Local Regulations: In-depth understanding of Irish construction laws, health and safety standards, and planning regulations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with a focus on achieving results.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management and contract administration software, such as MS Project or Aconex.
