Business Development Manager

CSR are currently recruiting for an organised and strategic Business Development Manager to join one of their client groups who operate in the UK & Ireland providing a range of Surveying, Trenchless, Environmental & Civil Engineering Projects to infrastructure sectors including Sewer, Rail, Water, Power & Construction. Schedule:

Monday to Friday.

Overtime may be required.


Duties

The duties of the role include:

·         As a business development manager, you will be based in our Gloucester depot and tasked with attracting and sustaining new business clients, as well as servicing the requirements of the existing customer base through the promotion of the company’s full range of services.

·         This will involve sourcing new business opportunities and driving sales to promote the growth of the company and providing detailed information to Amelio Management Team that may be relevant to potential key accounts. Additionally, you will support our office manager in achieving budget sales targets, assist in the sales management process where required, and produce weekly quote levels to accompany sales figures and reports.

·         This is a hands-on role that will involve frequent site visits, cold-calling, and business-to-business interfacing to sell drainage solutions that fit customer requirements and deliver the best possible outcomes.


Skills, qualifications, and experience:

  • Exceptional sales and customer service skills are key to success in this role, so we will expect candidates to demonstrate some degree of previous field sales experience, as well as good IT literacy and presentation skills. A past history working in the drainage service industry, or the construction sector is also vital for the role, as is a full UK driving licence.
  • Experience within the drainage, construction, waste, or utilities industries would be an advantage, but isn’t essential, as you’ll receive the training you need to acquire all of the sector-specific knowledge you need to succeed. Much more important is a clear desire to learn about our product range, and the flexibility to leverage your existing sales skills in new ways.

 

Salary: From £35k to £40k per year based on experience.
