Bid Manager Civils

Csr group are working with a Tier 1 contractor in their pursuit to source an experienced Bid Manager to join the Civil Engineering Team.

The Company

The company, a leading contractor based in Co Antrim have been experiencing a healthy period of growth involved in some very high profile Civil Engineering Projects both ongoing and secured both in NI and Uk.

These projects include major utility schemes, road infrastructure projects as well as rail.

The Role

The prime objective of the Bid Manager  will be to lead, manage and co-ordinate all aspects of  a bid ensuring that high quality competitive proposals are delivered to the client in a timely and consistent manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Development of the capture plan
• Develop proposal strategy and plan
• Manage the bid team which has been assembled for the proposal
• Development of responsibility matrix for all bids
• Develop an effective bid strategy to maximise chances of securing projects at commercially viable rates
• Manage estimating and planning activities and hold appropriate reviews
• Ensure all interfaces including business development are in place and operating effectively to deliver winning outcomes
• Strive for continual development and improvement in bid presentation and submission
• Manage any pre-construction design requirements for tender.

The Person

• 10-15 years experience at managerial level on a wide range of construction projects across main building and/or civil engineering.
• Strong commercial awareness
• Degree level in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Financial awareness
• Good Communication skills
• Self motivated
