Senior Estimator (Civils)

My Client a leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractor require a Senior Estimator with Civil Engineering experience to join in the commercial team in London due to recent growth and expansion.

The company has an impressive portfolio in Civil Engineering to include Motorway Projects up to £300M, water treatment plants to the value of £40M and gas pipeline projects to the value of £50M

The Role

My Client requires Civils Senior Estimator with 10+ years' experience covering heavy groundworks, drainage and formwork.

Typical Responsibilities

• Production and compilation of tender responses
• Engage with existing and new supply chain partners to obtain pricing and quality information in support of tender bids
• Monitor and record the tender success rate & provide the monthly reports to the commercial manager
• Prepare monthly reports on estimating and bid management outputs
• Liaison with the pre-construction team to develop bid responses
• Carrying out subcontract procurement

The Person

The successful quantity surveyor will possess the following:-

• 10 years post graduate Estimating experience in Civil Engineering
• Experience of working for a main contractor in a commercial related role
• Excellent communication skills
