Job Description

Our client are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our multi-disciplinary estimating team. Candidate will preferably have experience supporting large, complex semi-conductor fab projects.

A high degree of technical competence and estimating acumen is required because the candidate is expected to be the recognized technical expert (for Process and Mechanical Estimating) within the team. Candidate will have experience in bottoms-up and tops down estimating, bill of quantity development, block/assembly development and design engineering experience, with applied knowledge of all phases of a construction project for high level feasibility to detailed design stage.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced levels of influence, leadership and technical support for all aspects of Process and Mechanical estimating
• Feasibility studies and benchmarking
• System cost modelling, control estimates/estimating, risk evaluations, detail estimating, market and bid analysis, and claims assistance.
• Operationally, this individual must be comfortable working on behalf of the client reviewing cost estimates and offering commercial advice within their area of expertise.
• The candidate must be self-motivated.
• Engineering collaboration and teamwork

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, or a technically equivalent degree
• 10+ years of experience in estimating in large industrial construction project environments
• Experience with various estimating systems and cost databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with semiconductor wafer fabrication facility systems and construction environments
• Experience developing and modelling total construction project costs
• Experience with BIM and 3D design modelling
