Location:         Belfast

Hours:              25 Hours Per Week (Monday – Friday)

Salary:             £45,000 - £48,000 (Based on full week, Pro-Rata’d down to hours)

Holidays:         (37 Days) 25 Days + 12 Stats (Also Pro-Rata’d down to hours)

Pension:           19.5% Employer Contribution

Job Summary

This role is to provide quality checking and oversight of all the property assessments carried out by your employer panel of valuers to ensure that these are carried out in line with their policies. The Valuations Oversight role will provide valuations insight and expertise to support decision making. This includes oversight of the purchasing of new homes and disposal of existing homes to ensure value for money.

The post holder will be responsible for the valuation and practise to reflect current RICS guidance.

 

Key Functions

·         Responsible for ensuring key policies support valuations for new and existing customers to protect value for money and deliver a strong customer experience.

·         Work effectively with the panel of valuers on a daily basis to ensure quality standards and SLAs are met and that the service meets agreed KPIs

·         Responsible for ensuring that properties purchased your employer represent good value for money and protect our customers and the association from potential loss due to the condition of the property.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

·         Be responsible for the key policies in respect of valuations for new and existing homes and amend these to ensure that they reflect RICS best practise, meet objectives and deliver a smooth customer experience

·         Carryout regular reviews and audits of our panel of external valuers giving feedback to ensure valuations are carried out in line with agreed standards

·         Develop the guidance for external valuers and ensure that this is effectively communicated with our panel valuers delivering training and providing feedback where appropriate

·         Engage with the panel of valuers regularly to ensure that they are up-to-date with the guidance and offer guidance to resolve issues in respect of valuations as they arise

·         Work closely with Operations Manager and Customer Contact Manager to address service issues as they arise and improve the customer experience

·         Effectively manage the panel of valuers to ensure that your employer receives good value for money and that the service is effective and consistent

·         Take responsibility for ensuring that properties purchased by your new employer represent good value for money. Actively support the management of the portfolio of properties

·         To act as a leader in the Customer Services directorate of  the company leading by example and working effectively across the business to ensure overall achievement of goals

 

Qualifications

·         Third level Qualification (Or equivalent) or else 5 Years experience in similar role

·         Current member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors

·         Registered Valuer

·         Excellent understanding and knowledge of local housing market

·         Excellent understanding of house surveying and the valuation o residential property and regulations regarding these

·         Microsoft Office
