Mechanical Contract Manager (NO UK TRAVEL)

Are you an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager or do you have mechanical experience and are looking to move into contracts management roles? Perhaps you are currently commuting back and forth to UK every week and would like to remain closer to home?

If so, then this may well be the role for you. Working with an ISO9001/14001 approved contractor you'll undertake projects such as these (recently completed) in Northern Ireland/Republic of Ireland

- Prestigious new medical ward at prominent NI hospital

- Complete refurbishment carried out of all six floors of well-known office building in Belfast city centre

- Extension to an existing primary school in ROI to provide two mainstream classrooms and five special needs classrooms complete with associated showers and changing facilities

Services provided by the firm range from initial design of a project through to installation of complete mechanical system and commissioning. As Mechanical Contracts Manager you will use your proven commercial acumen and management skills to deliver on critical projects for the company across the island of Ireland.

Responsibilities:

  • To lead and develop, mechanical projects.
  • Provide expertise working alongside the other Contract Managers.
  • The Mechanical Contract Manager will manage a team of staff in the provision of a full range of diagnostic, design, procurement and delivery of services relating to the improvement, repair, maintenance and service.
  • Client and business development.
  • Initial contact with the client.
  • Site surveys.
  • Providing design and quotations to meet the clients' specification, utilising Microsoft Office, and estimating software.
  • Produce job files including site specific risk assessments and method statements.
  • Procurement of materials.
  • Programming and deployment of workforce.
  • Employment of specialist sub-contractors.
  • Monitoring progress and undertaking site safety inspections.
  • Attendance at site progress meetings with the client and design consultants.
  • Ensuring completion of the project on time and on budget to maximise profit margins and to provide customer satisfaction.

The role may be suitable if you have previous background as an experienced Contracts Manager, M&E Contracts Manager or Mechanical Contracts Manager.
