MEP Quantity Surveyor

An excellent opportunity exists for an M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier One Contractor in Northern Ireland.

Responsible for the cost control of Building Services, you will take the lead on a £25M+ (MEP value) commercial project based in Co. Antrim.

The company is a Tier One Building & Civil Engineering contractor with projects ranging from large-scale commercial new build, healthcare, and major civil engineering infrastructure schemes.  

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to Commercial Director, the purpose of this role will be to take responsibility for all of the commercial tasks relating to M&E work to your assigned project, this role will most likely suit someone with experience of working for a building services sub-contractor previously.

Typical duties will include:

• Cost reporting
• Forecasting
• Procurement
• Contract Administration
• Weekly/monthly reporting

Desired Skills and Experience

• Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the M&E sector
• Candidates must have sufficient Quantity Surveying experience to work autonomously at a senior level
• Candidates must possess excellent planning and organisational skills
• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role for a sub-contractor would be advantageous, but is not essential. Candidates from a main contracting and consultancy background will also be considered.
