Estimator - Specialist Contractor

A specialist contractor based in the Co. Antrim area has an excellent opportunity for an Estimator to join their expanding business.

To help facilitate this growth, they are offering an Estimator with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience a fantastic opportunity to work for them on a full-time permanent basis.

Duties will include:

• Preparation and submission of tender's to clients.
• Measurements and take-offs from drawings; and preparation of schedules for pricing.
• Delivery of contract handovers to stakeholders.
• Provide support to the company's commercial department.

• Data input into design & estimating software and production of detailed cost reports.
• Compilation of pricing enquires into definitive work packages for issue to suppliers and sub-contractors
• Evaluation and collation of bid submissions.

Essential skills and experience

• Minimum 2/3 years' estimating experience.
• Strong mathematical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to summarise and effectively communicate complex information.
• Good creative and technical capabilities.

Applicants coming from a construction/ engineering/ quantity surveying qualification are highly desirable.

Estimators with a specialist glass estimating background will also be prioritised.
