Civils Senior Engineer - England

CSR have an excellent opportunity for a Section Engineer to work on a large Civil Engineering contract in England. The contractor has over 30 years-experience operating out of Northern Ireland and mainland UK and now are now seeking talented Civil Engineers to their ever-expanding team.

The client is a well-established and renowned civil engineering and construction materials contractor possessing a highly impressive and growing portfolio of projects.

The client is offering new and exciting opportunities for a Senior Engineer to work throughout within England.  The role offers an excellent base for long term project experience and career progression. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Senior Engineers and the Construction Manager in supervising the development of the site through to completion, ensuring that programme, quality and cost targets are achieved in accordance with the build programme, through the effective management of the site team and sub-contractors.

Criteria

·         HND / Degree Qualification in Engineering

·         4-6 years-experience as a Site/Section Engineer

·         CSCS Card

·         Driving License

·         Qualification or be able demonstrate suitable knowledge in specific skillset

·         Knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation

 

Duties

  • Reporting to the Construction Manager and Project Manager
  • Schedule selected materials for ordering from the procurement department.
  • Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines.
  • Supervise and monitor the site labour force and monitor the work of any sub-contractors.
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
  • Ensure quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are maintained.
  • Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
  • Arrange testing of materials.
  • Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used.
  • Keep a Site Diary.
  • Fully interact with other members of the construction site team (team player).
  • Liaise with other function/departmental managers.
  • Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate to areas of responsibility.
  • Other duties as required by the Site Manager to facilitate construction of the works.
