CSR CONSTRUCTION


Senior Contracts Manager - NI 


No overnight stays required 


Reports To: Managing Director


Responsible For: Contract Managers, Helpdesk Manager and Contract Support Coordinator.


Key Relationships:   Client / Customer, Quantity Surveyors, Stakeholders


 


Main Purpose of Role: 
Manage the operational functions of the Term Service Contracts.Ensure integration of commercial and operational departments.

Measures of Performance: 



  • Quality & Health & Safety: Monitor internal and external reporting and develop strategies for Quality / Health & Safety, Audit and Customer feedback.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Oversight of contract specific KPI's. Contractual awareness.

  • Productivity and Time Management: Mentoring contract managers to driving efficiencies within the construction process to ensure maximum profitability.

  • Commercial acumen: Cost Management. Use of LEAN construction methodologies. Working knowledge of contract specific pricing schedules.

  • Management of Work in Progress: Maintaining accurate accounts of work in progress and ensuring reports are issued to respect the senior team.

  • Adherence to company policies and procedures.

  • Effective management of team to meet company objectives.


 


Duties & Responsibilities:


Safety 



  • Contracts (and Professional) Managers shall agree the necessary training with the Directors and H&S Manager

  • Ensure only competent persons are allocated duties and responsibilities.

  • Oversight of Health and Safety activities (with aid from the H&S manager, where required) and create a safe system of work (SSOW)


 


Team Management



  • Effective and efficient team management.

  • Effectively manage the flow of information between departments under their control.

  • Oversee, identify and plan the timely acquisition of resources required for the Contract.

  • Managing the development of project plans for works accounting for milestones, deliverables, critical paths.

  • Review and audit contract specific KPI's on all planned, cyclical and response works.

  • Assess contract financial and operational risks and implement control measures.

  • Ensure appropriate and timely record keeping and reporting to the senior team.


 


Quality and Customer Satisfaction



  • Liaise regularly with Client on contract performance and contribute to Client Contract Management Meetings.

  • Preparation and delivery of progress and KPI's reports to clients and internal team.

  • Audit and inspection of works to ensure that company standards and processes are adhered to.


 


People Management



  • Ensure that Contract Teams understand contract performance measures and provide weekly feedback to their staff on contract performance and expectations.

  • Motivate, support and provide feedback to contract teams to develop their performance and capability.


 


Efficiency & Profitability



  • Liaise with the senior team and client representatives on Contract KPIs periodically.

  • Work in conjunction with Commercial Managers to minimise and progress work in progress.

  • Oversee allocation of supply chains and internal resources.

  • Drive efficiencies within the contract teams.


 


Continuous Improvement 



  • Present to the senior team on contract performance and improvement strategies at Monthly Performance Meetings.




 


Other



  • Any other duties within the post-holder's competence necessary to meet the delivery of Contract or organisational objectives.
