Buyer/ Procurement Manager - Construction

A leading Building & Civil Engineering contractor based in Co. Armagh is looking for an experienced Buyer to join their Head Office. The Client has an established a reputation working within the D&B, Healthcare, Education, and Social Housing sectors.

Experience required:

  • As the company Buyer you will have a minimum of 2/3 years' experience in new build commercial/ residential projects.

  • A proven track record within Construction for Main Contractors as an experienced Buyer.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • A team player, able to work effectively as part of a very dynamic project based construction company managing material buying

The Role:

  • Material buying activities including best cost, value, quality of materials

  • Weekly/daily checks on orders so that outstanding items are highlighted immediately

  • Collation of all relevant information regarding production that will cause purchasing delays or affect contract programmes

  • Checking and authorising payment purchase invoices
